Background: Our client, a rear seat passenger in a car travelling on the motorway, was struck from behind by an uninsured driver under the influence of drugs. This collision resulted in spinal fractures to the cervical and lumbar spine, along with psychological sequelae.

Incident: We collaborated with the Defendant’s solicitor to secure an early admission of liability. This allowed for a without prejudice exchange of evidence, minimizing costs and ensuring efficient case progression.

Support and Rehabilitation: Our client, a qualified social worker, benefited from early rehabilitation secured under the Rehabilitation Code, enabling a return to work. We also arranged ongoing counselling and therapy to address their fear of driving post-accident.

Outcome: The case was successfully settled through negotiation, providing our client with the necessary support to rebuild their life after the accident.
